Who is Leon?
Leon is often called a Hip-Hop/ Rap singer and songwriter though his music also encompasses elements of Caribbean culture and American music.
Brandon Leon Greene was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. Leon grew up to develop an ear for music through his Grand Father Leon Johnson who was formerly in a band known as The Heralds. In addition, his grandmother sang in the church. He began developing a niche for music at the age of six, he learned how to play the snare drum, and at the age of 13, he began playing the trumpet which later evolved into using the Mic.
Growing up Leon was introduced to all forms of music and a plethora of artists such as hip-hop & rap prior to this all he knew was reggae R&B, and gospel: Asap rocky, chief keef, and Drake.
He went to Valencia College to study sound engineering. This is also where he collaborated with engineer Skully Mixed It where they later produce one of his most popular songs to date "On My Mind". His artistic collaboration includes people such as Twindem, and Bahamian Trae just to name a few.
Breaking into the music industry
In 2019, he created "Bigger Than Me" in April and released it in June, then he created "On My Mind" which quickly blew up and began to get plenty of traction from the song and video. He began getting promotional opportunities, features, and partnerships. In 2020, he began traveling to perform his hit song “On My Mind”.
Leon next phase
After taking some time to reflect and craft his skills Leon is preparing a new project. Leon is excited to show his fans everything new that he has in store from music videos, merchandise and eventually an upcoming tour.
